I take humor writing very seriously.

According to medical studies done by real scientists in some scientific research place, somewhere in the United States, laughter has been proven to change the levels of neural chemistry, stimulate the thymus gland, boost the immune system, improve digestion, and provide a respiratory work-out.

I think laughing is as important to our well being as exercise and five servings of fruit and vegetables a day. Good health is no laughing matter! Well, actually good health is a laughing matter.

I don’t consider myself just a humor writer. I consider myself a health care professional.

If you need to improve your digestion, read a few of my columns. You don’t have to tell me if it worked.

My humor essays have appeared in American Bungalow, Dog & Kennel, Byline, Mahoning Valley Parent, and www.sanitycentral.com.

Columns are available for publication or reprint as noted.
